The preservation of cultural heritage in Hong Kong is facing significant challenges due to the rapid urbanization of the city, leading to the destruction of many historical buildings and cultural artifacts. However, digital art technology provides a solution to this problem, enabling the development of sustainable cultural heritage that preserves traditional material and intangible cultural heritage while adding new technological elements. Our competition offers students an opportunity to explore and learn about different architectural features of historical heritage, deepen their understanding of sustainable cultural heritage conservation, and express their creativity using various Metaverse platforms.
